15 May to 6 Jun : South and Heart of Suffolk Walking Festival 2010

The date has been set for the third annual walking festival and the 2010 programme will be very different from the first two. This time they are going to offer many themed guided walks, such as poetry walks with specially comissioned poems relating to the Suffolk countryside; storytelling walks through mystical woodland for children; photographic walks with experts on hand to advise on how to take the best landscape pictures; medieval meanders with costumed guides; children's trials which will include teaching them to build a den. As well as this, there will be several longer walks for the more seasoned walkers and walks to include a cream tea or other tasty refreshments. 3 Jun to 6 Jun : Angus Glens Walking Festival 2010

The 2010 Angus Glens Walking Festival will feature a new walk which is aimed at experienced hillwalkers. In fact, the walk from Glen Tanar to Glen Esk via Mount Keen on June 5 has been judged so taxing by the Festival's highly-skilled mountain leaders, a new grading has been added to the Festival programme – 'Extremely Strenuous'. 5 Jun to 20 Jun : Gower Walking Festival 2010

This 2010 Festival will be the biggest yet. Organised by the Mumbles Tourist Association, the voluntary management body of the Mumbles Tourist Information Centre, the Festival's continuing popularity means that there are now over 50 guided walks on the programme, spread out over sixteen days, around glorious Gower, Mumbles and other local settings. http://www.visitswanseabay.com/index.cfm?articleid=25338

5 Jun to 6 Jun : Oxfam Trailtrekker

Oxfam Trailtrekker is the 100km charity challenge across the Yorkshire Dales national park, starting and finishing in Skipton. Teams of four trek through the night to complete the course in under 30 hours. 12 Jun to 13 Jun : Third Annual Princes Risborough Walking Festival

Over the weekend of 12th & 13th June Princes Risborough will host it's third annual Walking Festival. This popular event attracts hundreds of walkers to the town, many living locally but others travelling from across the country to join a series of 13 themed walks around the ancient market town and into the local countryside, exploring the unique landscape, wildlife and heritage. Each walk is led by a local enthusiast who will explore wild places or lost historic sites. Set within the spectacular scenery of the Mourne Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are walks to suit all levels of fitness and ability with lowland routes at 10, 20, 30 and 40kms, as well as high level routes within the mountains. The highlight of the weekend is the 'Blister Ball' on Saturday evening with a hot buffet, entertainment and dancing.
