Park near the village hall in Marbury, then follow the road as if you're heading towards the church.

Opposite the T-junction you will reach, there's a stile. Follow the footpath sign leading across the field to the right.

On the other side of the stile leaving the field is a narrow country road. Turn left and follow the road up the hill.

You will see a road sign on entering the village of Wirswall. Just after this on the left is a footpath sign. You will see a metal gate. To the right of this is a stile leading in to another field.

Go straight across the field climbing the hill, where you will see great views over South Cheshire on a clear day. Marbury church will be visible as will the Big Mere.

The path in the church grounds leads around the church and then out on the other side down a short track.
